The Garden of Unearthly Delights operates during the Adelaide Fringe festival as a standalone venue, located in Rundle Park/Kadlitpina within the picturesque Adelaide Park Lands.

The Garden, as it’s affectionately known, features a wide variety of performances across a number of genres each season, along with other festival highlights including rides, markets, and a range of food and beverage experiences.

With so much on offer, managing ticket requests from Fringe media delegates before and during the festival can prove time-consuming for the venue’s busy box office team.

For the 2025 edition, The Garden took a different approach with the support of Red61, and the results speak for themselves.

How it works

According to the Garden’s Ticketing Manager Ben Noble, using Red61’s Accreditation Portal “was a game-changer for The Garden of Unearthly Delights this year”.

“It streamlined our entire accreditation process – allowing departments to easily manage, share, and review applications all in one place, without the need to jump between multiple platforms,” said Noble.

The Red61 Accreditation Portal allows delegates the option of completing an online form, composed within the ticketing system, and delivered to a nominated email address from your organisation.

Pending applications are then listed within the Accreditation Portal back-end, allowing box office or delegate staff to review and process applications on merit.

If a delegate is successful, an account is created within the system and a special category assigned to them, allowing access to request tickets within their field of interest.

Ticket types and events shown within the ticket request site can be controlled by your box office, based on permissions and preferences.

All of this combined helps you easily manage delegate applications for your festival or venue, without switching between Red61 and a third-party integration.

Game-changing benefits

As Ben Noble from The Garden explains, using Red61’s Accreditation Portal in 2025 streamlined their delegate application process.

“The ability to customise forms, assign statuses, and trigger automated emails significantly reduced our manual workload, especially when it came to updating customer accounts,” said Noble.

“From a user perspective, the login process and ‘save for later’ function made it intuitive and accessible.”

After opening applications for their Media reviewers, The Garden of Unearthly Delights processed close to 50 applications through the Red61 Accreditation Portal during the 2025 season.

Noble said that despite the odd case of managing duplicates, the feedback on using the portal was overwhelmingly positive from their Media team.

“Overall, we highly recommend integrating this tool into any client workflow for a smoother, more efficient accreditation experience,” said Noble.
